Herb Farm Activities - January/February 2012 |

In January we are always busy seeding hundreds of tomato plants for spring. Many of these we will sell in March & April, the rest we’ll plant. Many other seeds will be sown in preparation for our spring season. New for February 2012: Valentine’s Day goodies available for sale! I am always asked about the availability of some of our most popular offerings for Valentine’s Day. Since we are open by appointment only through the winter months I have not previously done anything special for Valentine’s Day. That is changing... I will be taking orders for the following: ♥ Chocolate truffles - decadent, luscious and very, very Valentine. Truffles are made with the highest quality chocolate available (www.askinosie.com). Each truffle is large (slightly smaller than a walnut) and coated with a variety of coatings such as ground hazelnuts, lavender sugar, toasted coconut, candied ginger. A dozen truffles come in a candy box tied with a red ribbon - $18.00 per dozen. ♥ Lavender Pecan Cookies - a very popular cookie! If you have not experienced our lavender cookies you are in for a treat. Crisp, chewy, delicious, with a hint of fresh lavender. One pound of cookies (30-36) in a bakery box tied with a red ribbon - $14.00. ♥ Chocolate Mint Cupcakes THE ULTIMATE CUPCAKE… THIS IS IT! Rich, dense chocolate cake topped with a minty cream cheese chocolate frosting. Unbelievably delicious and perfect for the chocolate lover on Valentine’s Day. A half-dozen cupcakes in a large bakery box tied with a red ribbon - $12.00. ♥ Rosemary Orange Muffins These large muffins are perfect for a special Valentine’s Day breakfast. Tender and moist with hints of fresh orange and rosemary… YUMMY! A half-dozen dozen muffins in a large bakery box tied with a red ribbon - $12.00.
♥ All items are sold by pre-order only no later than Saturday, February 11th and must be paid for when order is placed. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. ♥ Any of the above items can be ordered for delivery the weekend before Valentine’s Day… call for information. ♥ Prices include delivery to a central location in Lufkin, Nacogdoches and Crockett on Monday, February 13th, for you to meet us and pick up your order. For an additional charge of $2.50 we can deliver to your home or place of business within the Lufkin, Nacogdoches or Crockett areas.
